Jurisdiction
Ahmedabad Customs zone is situated in western part of the Country. It has four Executive Commissionerates
- Ahmedabad Customs Commissionerate
- Jamnagar Preventive Commissionerate
- Kandla Customs Commissionerate
- Mundra Customs Commissionerate
Ahmedabad Customs Zone supervises about 35 major / minor ports (wherein Mundra port is one of the largest container handling ports of the country), 14 ICDs, 01 Air Cargo Complex, 01 Foreign Post Office, 02 International Airports, 01 Surat Diamond Bourse, 01 Gift City Ahmedabad and 01 Ship Breaking Yard. The list is as below:
- 35 Sea Ports (Minor/Major)
- 14 Inland Container Depots
- 23 Container Freight Stations
- 432 Warehouses
- 01 (One) Air Cargo Complex
- 01 (One) Foreign Post Office
- 03 (Three) International Airports (Ahmedabad, Surat & Vadodara),
- 01 Surat Diamond Bourse
- 01 GIFT City Ahmedabad
- 01 Ship breaking yard at Alang.
Mundra is a one of the biggest ports in terms of cargo handling in the country and it is being maintained / handled by Adani Port and Special Economic Zone Ltd.
