Gujarat Customs zone is situated in western part of the Country. Mundra / Hazira / Sikka / Kandla Ports are all weather tidal ports falling in the jurisdiction of the zone and they are built to international standards, with a high level of automation and computerized functioning.

Mundra is a one of the biggest port in terms of cargo handling in the country and it is being maintained / handled by Adani Port and Special Economic Zone Ltd. This apart another port which is handling substantial cargo are Hazira / Sikka / Kandla. Under the Jurisdiction of this zone lies several minor Non-EDI ports including Old Port Mundra, which are seasonal ports and caters to country craft vessels. Gujarat Customs Zone supervises about 35 major / minor ports (wherein Mundra port is one of the largest container handling ports of the country), about 12 ICDs, 22 CFSs, 115 Warehouses, 01 (One) Air Cargo Complex, 01 (One) Foreign Post Office, 02 (Two) International Airports, 01 Hira-bourse at Surat, 01 Ship breaking yard at Alang.
3. Gujarat Customs zone is one of the biggest Custom zone in the country in terms of containers handled, documents filed and revenue generated. It handled 49.75 lakh TEUs of cargo, 12.53 filed documents, and collected 68706 cr. revenue during the year 2020-21. The emphasis is on speedy movement of containers and to utilize the port area exclusively for loading and unloading of the containers.
